Bay Area Portrait Photographer : Julia, Nick, and little Daphne

I never found the time to write much about our wedding details but I am so very excited to share that our wedding was published up on Green Wedding Shoes today! So much fun to share lots of extra details that didn't run in the knot and some more info on our vendors. Sigh... best day of my life. Check it out!

Now for the cutest puppy in the world ... enough said :)

No but seriously ... if you know me well, you know I'm not the biggest animal/dog person in the world. I don't hate them nor am I afraid of them I just .. don't particularly want them. I know, they are cute and cuddly and can be your best friend but I didn't grow up with them and I never quite know how to act around them! BUT, you guys.... Daphne almost made me want one of my own! Her little face and manner was just so precious.. she was the belle of the ice cream shop and her mommy and daddy love her so so so much!

As always... onward!

Bay Area Newborn Photographer : Little Meg : Baby Milo

This darling little guy, Milo, was featured on On to Baby yesterday- so many of my past brides are pregnant this year and it's really fun to be able to document all of these new little treasures. If you are expecting- or just like looking at cute things (me!) check out On to Baby for some really great mommy/baby resources!

Milo was the perfect subject- he slept almost the entire shoot! A lot of moms get disappointed when their newborn is sleeping in all of their photos but really, it's the best way to capture their essence. Who doesn't like to stare at a gorgeous new life in dream land?

Little Meg : Bay Area Family Photographer : The Parkhills

As I've said before- My little sister, Emma, preps my posts for me. She runs the resize + logo batches and uploads the images and I log in and write and post ... but she always leaves little notes for me and once again, her note was perfection. It said: Oh man I hope my family is this beautiful.

My darling Parkhills, as always, it was a pleasure to photograph you ... and you were sneaky! You went and got pregnant again since we've last seen each other and I am pretty freaking excited to add another beautiful baby to the mix! Lots and lots and lots of love. XoXo!

Reese and Jackson : Little Meg : Newborns

In my last post I wrote about my nostalgia obsessed state of mind and how I have always been a little preoccupied with documenting life. I have over 15 journals filled to the brim with words, thoughts, poems, lyrics, stories, etc. from my years past and while some, okay *most* of them, are totally embarrassing and things I wish I would not have written down on paper, every once and awhile I come across true gems.

Kiara is the mommy of these two little twins, Reese and Jackson. We spent many-a-day passing the time at Presentation High School together and although we mostly lost touch over the last 5 years or so she always remained someone I loved and thought of often. Over Christmas break, while leafing through boxes of my stuff in my parents attic I came across this journal page from March 14, 2001 that Kiara and I probably wrote during Mrs. Bouska's media class while we were supposed to be taking notes.

It wasn't until the middle of our shoot that I remembered this particular page but I could have sworn that Reese had been on the list. When I got home I fished it out from the basement and will you look at that?? #2: REESE!

It was not only an honor and a privileged to photograph Reese and Jackson but a challenge. I've never photographed twins before and it is no easy task! With a little patience and help from Kiara and her mother in law I think we pulled it off. Looking forward to watching these two grow and hoping to photograph them many more times in the future!

LOVE to you, Kiara :) Perhaps I'll have a little Willow to add to the bunch someday soon! (Tayleigh??? What was I thinking???)

San Francisco Family Photography : The Werner Family

I am still reeling from finishing the third Hunger Games book, Mockingjay last night at 2AM. (I told you when I get sucked into books I get sucked so far in it's impossible for me to do anything else but read!)  It wasn't entirely what I expected ... darker, more devastating, and full of so much more despair then I even thought possible .. but still a page turner with mastermind storytelling, full of political innuendo and societal criticism to say the least. Just a really riveting read- looking forward to the movie... hoping they don't botch it with a terrible screenplay like Twilight. Photographed this lovely session in early December - three sisters and a brother in law :) We had so much fun running around their neighborhood in SF and I'm so excited to finally share some of the images with you!
