Bay Area Wedding Photographer : Lisa and Hans : A Santa Monica Retro Engagement Session

Lisa + Hans= love

Since Lisa lives in Santa Monica and Hans lives up here at the moment we decided to do their shoot in LA since their home is impeccably decorated! We fit it in during one of my many trips there in April and I'm so glad we did. We started out inside with attire to match the decor and then ventured to the beach. These two are simply made for each other and were such a joy to photograph.  Looking forward to their wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery coordinated by the lovely Janece Shellooe next month!

A wedding at La Venta Inn : Lauren and David

I'm going to let you in on a little secret- my assistant/sister preps  my blog posts. I do the selecting and the editing process but she does the resizing, the logo placing, and the uploading. I log on to the wordpress site and fill in all the blanks about the shoot but sometimes she leaves me a little note in the posts and there have been some gems! The one she left me in this post was so perfect for Lauren and David's wedding. It said, "So much laughter at this wedding!" She just couldn't have been more right. :) Lauren and David got married at the beautiful La Venta Inn in March. The event was coordinated by the lovely Heather Ham with florals by one of my Southern California favorite florists, Susan of Peony and Plum! It was such a lovely day and full of so many beautiful moments to document. Thanks for sharing your love with me!

San Francisco Bay Area Wedding Photographer : A photobooth at Nestldown

Fiona and Eric got married back in August at Nestldown in Los Gatos but I never got around to posting their super fun photo booth images! They brought a complete costume rack that their guests rummaged through, wore for the photo booth, and then carried them onto the dance floor and boogied down in them. It was marvelous to see people wearing Peter Pan hats and fairy wings dancing their hearts out!

At the height of laughter, the universe is flung into a kaleidoscope of new possibilities.  ~Jean Houston

If I were an emotion, I would be wonder.

If I was a month, I would be December. If I was a day, I would be November 6, 2010. If I was a time of day, I would be dawn. If I was a season, I would be fall. If I was a sea creature, I would be a jellyfish. If I were an emotion, I would be wonder.

If I was a country, I would be America. If I was an item in a house, I’d be a fireplace. If I was a drink, I would be mint tea. If I was a tree I would be a willow. If I was a flower, I would be a lavender. If I was weather I’d be soft rain. If I was a fruit I would be blackberry. If I was a color I’d be light blue.

If I was a dish I would be hot apple crisp with vanilla bean ice cream. If I was a taste I would taste like cinnamon. If I was a song I’d be claire de lune. If I was a pair of shoes I would be pink ballet flats. If I was a sound I’d sound like the breeze.
