Annemarie and Michael : Downtown San Jose Wedding at The Saint Claire

Annemarie and I go way back- I'm not sure if she remembers this but I remember her from the very first day of high school. My last name and her last name are close together in the alphabet so in classes where the teacher did the seating chart in alphabetical order, we oftentimes ended up sitting next to each other. I went to a public middle school and transferred into the private school system as a freshman so I honestly did not know one person in my freshman class that first day of school. I don't remember exactly how I was feeling but nervous probably doesn't even start to describe it.... but I remember clearly Annemarie being one of the first girls I met in Miss Aquino's religion class. It's things like this that make me all the more thankful that I do what I do. Over the years I have been able to reconnect with people who I may only have seen at our reunions and not only reconnect but play a part in one of the biggest most happiest days of their lives! It was such an absolute joy to photograph Annemarie and Mike's wedding and I want to thank them for allowing me the pleasure!

They tied the knot at St. Christophers church and partied it up at The Saint Claire in downtown San Jose. It was seriously a BEAUTIFUL wedding with fabulous decor and flowers by Asiel Designs that were to die for.

Check it out :)

Santa Cruz Wedding Photographer : A zen-like wedding at Pema Osel Ling : Cate and Jon

When my associate Natalie and I arrived after a long windy drive to the Santa Cruz wedding venue Pema Osel Ling, we could not stop gushing about how naturally beautiful this location was! Jon and Cate were so relaxed as were all their friends and family and the ever lovely Karissa Paxton of Coastside Couture was running about putting final touches on the gorgeous mutli-colored decor.  I was seriously smitten by the work of Laughin' Gal Floral- the florals were breathtaking! Jon and Cate's woodsy Santa Cruz wedding is featured today at Ruffled Blog so head over there and check out their take on the day! :)

Bay Area Wedding Photographer : A Wedding in Livermore at Rios Lovell : Amalia and Nino

Hello my loves! Happy Friday! How has your week been? I have been busy - finally had some full days of production this week to catch up on all things editing/emailing/shipping/prepping/ordering/designing .. it's been a few months since I've had days off of shooting in a row and it feels good to have a completely checked off check list. Of course, always things to add to it! We started construction on our bathroom this week... pretty excited to have that all pretty and finished in the next couple of weeks. We picked out some really gorgeous Calcutta marble that I never in a million years thought I would be buying..... as of now though- it looks something like this ;)

In other news....

I can hardly believe it but tomorrow is the first of October... this year I don't have any weddings booked after the last weekend in October and I am so looking forward to the holiday hibernation! :) So excited for my October brides though and can't wait for these gorgeous fall weddings! Our wedding was November 6th last year and I have always had an affinity for this time of year... something about that wind blowing and those leaves falling.  Just a quick reminder- if you want your album before the holidays you need to get your selections into me before the end of next week to make the deadline! If I do not receive them before next Friday then it will enter production in January.

Amalia and Nino got married in Livermore and the Rios Lovell Family Winery earlier this summer. (In fact, it was the day we moved, or should I say Tim moved us, into our new home!) Everything about this day was so picturesque and really was so indicative of their love for each other. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and it put all of their friends and family at ease and ready to party. Thank you so much for inviting me to document your love!

Bay Area Wedding Photographer : Los Altos History Museum : Alex and Doug

Whew! August felt like running a marathon- 8 weddings in four weeks! They were all so beautiful and all so full of love that I managed to come out of this month with a big smile on my face. Seriously, there are days when the pressure of this job is sometimes overwhelming but the minute I step into that getting ready suite and see the smile on the brides face, see those nerves in the wringing of her hands, and the flurry of bridesmaids running about tying up loose ends it all goes, poof! and I remember how lucky I am to be spending my weekends sharing in the happiest days of my clients lives!

Getting to know Alex and Doug this past year has been SUCH a pleasure- I seriously love them and am so not ready to let go of them! They got married at the beautiful Los Altos History Museum in early July and the day could not have been more perfect. The ever-amazing Karissa Paxton coordinated an impeccable day and I had so much fun documenting it.
