Lee Ann Fuller and WPPI Recap

Well! After 5 days of little to no sleep, great classes and inspiring speakers, friend making like crazy, and both eating and drinking a little too much I am happy to be home and working in our little blue office today. I had the opportunity to hear so many inspiring artists speak about my profession and am so thankful that on a daily basis I love my job! It's going to be a tough month trying to implement all the things I've taken from the convention but in the end it's experiences like this that make me not only a better photographer but a better business woman and person. I'm not sure there is really any other industry like ours- ;) Part of what I love about WPPI the most is the lasting friendships I make every year there. It isn't often that we get out of our little Los Angeles bubble and it is so refreshing to spend time getting to know people from all over who love the same things you do! I happened to be sitting next to Lee Ann Fuller in Jesh De Rox's super duper inspiring talk about TRUTH,  and she ended up joining us for dinner that night. I am so glad she did because we LOVE her!!! We were hanging out in the room before our 2nd dinner together and Heather caught this beautiful window light- I joined in and we both ended up directing her for about 20 minutes. Love these improptu shoots... enjoy!

WPPI thus far!

Typing from our Las Vegas hotel room about to head out to dinner with some fabulous photog ladies! This year is such a different experience from last year- soaking in all the information and filtering out what will work best for me feels easier and less overwhelming. I am also well aware of my inability to function without sleep and have been doing my best to remain happy and healthy and rested despite all the parties, dinners, and activities! All of the classes I've attended so far have just been so inspiring and I can't wait to get home and head out on some more camera adventures!

Here are some quick shots we did today just for fun. Heather and I spent some downtime hanging out in the room this afternoon enjoying our "window seat."

Viva Las Vegas!

Meg and Jeff's Birthday Party Guest Gallery

Still in Vegas! Just thought I'd throw this post up to enjoy while I am off learning a million new things, meeting a million new people, and hopefully having a blast doing it! On Feb. 7th my dear friend Jeff Conrad and I had our annual joint birthday party and this year I set up the Guest Gallery in our music room for everyone to enjoy. Got some great portraits of my friends and fam- working on putting together a bunch of prints to go over the couch from these! We made it a black and white theme so everyone ended up looking super classy!

 Yours truly..

WPPI - Las Vegas, NV - Out of the office until Thursday

That time of year again- off to Las Vegas to become absorbed in all things photography for a whole 5 days. Friends, family, current clients, potential clients: I'll have e-mail access but probably won't have much time to get to it so if you need to reach me give me a ring but I am officially out of the office until Thursday! Fellow photographers, I will be all over the place- shoot me a message and lets meet up!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Because my birthday is February 13th, Valentine's Day has always just felt like an extension of that celebration. When I was born I had little pink hearts taped to my head, for my birthday parties we'd make pretty doily Valentines cards, and I remember one year my birthday outfit was a black, white, and red skirt and shirt combo with hearts all over it - Mom do you remember that one?  .... on top of my birthday Tim and I also celebrate our dating anniversary on the 8th (6 years!) and usually by now we're down for a movie night on the couch and pizza ordered in- and I think that's just what we'll be doing! I wish everyone a day full of people you love!

 Here's me and my valentine!
