Updates..

I am so excited that this week up north has been so full of love- from clients, friendly photographers now friends, friends, and family. It makes me feel wonderful to know that all my hard work trying to build my business in both southern and northern California is paying off. I so enjoy being up here and eventually will probably end up basing my business out of the Bay Area but for now it's just awesome to be able to go back and forth! Heading back to Los Angeles with a busy couple of weeks in store- excited to be back in the office with Timmy across the desk from me. We just booked tickets for the end of April to London and Dublin- can't wait to spend some time away from work together. :)

Couple images from my shoots this past weekend- little Jackson on the left and Tricia and Chris on the right.

O'Brien/Craig Family - Santa Cruz, CA

I met Denise and Mel at a coffee shop in downtown Los Angeles and within minutes of chatting we had realized that Denise and I were alumni of the same small high school in San Jose! Very small world... not only did I shoot their engagement photos last week and will I be shooting their wedding in January but they came to me with the need for a new family portrait because this wedding will mark the blending of their two families! We had about two days to plan for it and ended up giving Santa Cruz beach a try since their family already had plans to be there! We made do with the beautiful Northern California coastline :) They were all such a great group to work with and I can't wait to spend more time with you guys in January!

Zemanek Family Session : UCLA Sculpture Garden

'tis the season for family sessions!!! The Zemanek Family is brand new- little Zoe was born last August and is truly the apple of her parents eye. We met for our shoot on a fall morning at The Sculpture Garden on UCLA's campus. Zoe is super attentive for her 3 months and kept her eyes glued to the lens whenever it was pointed at her. Thanks guys for spending your morning with me- hopefully I'll be able to continue documenting her life as it unfolds- she's a beauty!!!

Bingham's Christmas Card Shoot

You might remember these little dolls, Lucy and Wilder from this post from what seems like another world. They are such bright, creative little beings- can't help but get great shots of their adorable little faces! (and of mom and dad too of course!)

We started out inside with some lighting and a wall- I really think the simplicity of these speaks volumes.

Then we headed outside, despite the smoke in the air the lighting was actually really beautifully even.

And some ice cream to ensure the day ended in smiles!

Nichol, Josh, Cole, and Riis : A Family!

A couple of weekends ago I had the utmost pleasure to photograph my dear friend (and fellow Edward lover) Nichol and her beautiful family at The Huntington Gardens in Pasadena. We spent the late afternoon running around the gardens and seriously, we barely even got to use most of it- can't wait to go back there! I know Nichol follows this blog and has probably been stalking it waiting for this post (no shame there!) so here it is! Lots of images to follow.....
