CJ, Dustin, and Alyssa : Engaged + Family! Irvine, CA

When I first met CJ and Dustin at The Farm in LA's The Grove we cliqued instantly. Spent the morning chatting about wedding plans and life plans and drank lots of drinks with caffeine in them. (I think Dustin had had two coffees and a Rock Star before he even showed up at brunch!) CJ and Dustin told me about Dustin's daughter Alyssa and how she loved photography and how they loved her and how much they wanted her to be a part of their big day. We talked about how they wanted to incorporate her into their engagement images and decided to plan a shoot in their neck of the woods and blend engagement images with some family flair! I think we accomplished just that- can't wait for your November wedding guys! And Alyssa- I checked out your DeviantArt page- that blue hair is something else and those flower photos are gorgeous- you rock, love!

Jen and Lucas : Engaged! Santa Monica, CA

Jen and Lucas have a love built on laughter- they are so silly and giddy with each other that it's infectious and you can just tell the minute you meet them that they are up for a good time! After an interesting start to our session we spent a Thursday evening exploring the Santa Monica Pier and beaches... beautiful light and great people- a perfect evening! They are getting married in my neighboring hood of Silverlake later this year and I can't wait!

Garth and Julie : Engaged! Pasadena, CA

QUICK NOTE: I will be working from the Bay Area from August 11-September 7th so if you'd like to schedule an anytime shoot, kids shoot, or a meeting to get some info on wedding coverage shoot me an email: meg(at)megperotti(dot)com When I headed over to Garth and Julie's Beverly Hills abode a few months ago to meet them, I instantly knew we were meant to work together. Garth was walking home from his entertainment industry office while I was arriving and as soon as he walked in the door he cracked open a bottle of wine and offered me a glass. With the Laker's game in the background we chatted about their Hollywood themed wedding- oohed and ahhed over their Save the Dates and laughed- a LOT. When it came time to book their engagement session, since it's wedding season overload, we had to get a little creative to work with everyones schedules and ended up shooting early in the AM on a Friday. It was perfect because by noon it was about 100 degrees and HUMID like no other in Pasadena. I had such a great time running all over the garden grounds with these two- Julie is a professional dancer with an amazingly big laugh which is just infectuious and despite Garth's disgruntling about having to miss work, he was absolutely hamming it up! Julie kept laughing and saying, "Who knew??" I can't wait to shoot your wedding in December guys- I can already tell it is going to ooze Hollywood glamour! Hope New York is treating you both well- Julie is my personal John Gosselin stalker at the moment. ;) (Can you beleive that guy!!!)

Julie brought her toe shoes along for a few- but her feet were killing her (as you can imagine!) so we were quick with them!

 

Bob and Tawnny : Engaged! Los Angeles, CA

A few months ago Heather came out to Los Angeles to help me out on Chris and Carly's Madmen-esque engagement shoot - holding lights, helping with pocket wizard trouble-shooting etc. so last week it was my turn to return the favor and accompany her on a shoot! It was a great evening roaming around the backroads of Beachwood Canyon near the Hollywood sign exploring caves and fighting off lots of bugs! Heather knew Tawnny and Bob separately growing up and was surprised to learn they were now engaged! It's always fun to get reconnected with old friends through this job! I did some research and found out that the cave we were shooting in is the cave they use in the old Batman movies as the Bat cave entrance!

Mindy and Dave : Engaged!

Just something about us East-siders....When I met these two at a coffee shop in Silverlake and we talked art over lattes I knew we'd be a great match. Mindy and Dave are getting married next month at Rancho Del Cielo in Malibu and we squeezed in their engagement session just in time! We spent the afternoon hanging out in the fields above Los Feliz with their little dog, Oliver and had a chance to get to know each other a bit. These two are such a joy and I can't wait to document their wedding day- both of them being immersed in the art world I am sure they're going to have a super stylish affair!

 

I LOVE this one, makes my heart beat fast.... all tangled up in each other...
