Here I am, Monday night, the boyfriend in New York for the week .. coming off a great weekend of planning an amazing trip to Guatemala in August with my best friends, eating a wonderful dinner of salmon and rice, editing wedding photos, and watching the ice cream thaw out on the counter. Except for having Timmy out of town (miss you already!), this night couldn’t be better. Wait! It can… I have an episode of John and Katie Plus 8 waiting for me when I’m done and a trip to San Jose to do some engagement portraits this weekend. Lucky dog, I am.
Two weeks ago I had the utmost pleasure of photographing the wedding of Mercedes and Ryan. These two, for me, are what love is all about. It is obvious that at their core they are best friends first and I just love the way they interact with each other. It was really an honor to be a part of this wonderful day from start to finish … enough of that… on to the photos!
We started our day at the most colorful hair salon ever- hey! it’s west palm beach…

My nature inspire ring shoot..

Mercedes out on the deck in her pin curls.

The bridesmaids and their rollers…too cute. Oh and in that little dainty teacup? Champagne.

Mercedes, hair done, worrying about everyone else but herself, typical down to earth bride.

Okay time to worry about herself…

Her purse was her grandmothers and when she opened it for the first time she found this coin purse and three green pennies. She carried them with her for good luck.

Now, right about now I said to myself, “Wait! The sun is behind me..???? So I’m not going to get a sunset???” Silly California girl, I am. It was pretty odd actually, to not have had that thought until I was there. I am so used to the setting over the ocean. It actually really was more of an advantage. Beautiful warm light on their faces. This is the ceremony site- that’s a shadow of the archway Mercedes’ father built.

This is when I was like, “Wait! I like this sun being behind me thing….”

Bubbles get me every time!

Okay this is the only one I’m posting from the reception because I’m just too tired and need to go hang out with the sextuplets but aren’t they fabulously in love?

Mercedes and Ryan, I hope you guys are having an amazing time in Hawaii! To Ana and her family, Thank you guys so much, I couldn’t have felt more welcome in your home- everything was perfect. Until next time! XoXo
Oh, you know I have a few venue bathroom images myself! haha… Funny how much we love to do this.
Love that mirror!
