I had so much fun shooting Nicole and Kevin’s ocean side Monterey wedding- the entire brides side of the wedding party graduated from Presentation High School in the class above me and it was so much fun laughing and connecting with them all again! To make it even crazier, two of our teachers were actually STAYING at the hotel and we ran into them in lobby. Talk about a Presentation Invasion! I was so lucky to have the lovely Lili Durkin and Karen Santos out to assist me that day. I know that my transition to the Bay Area later this year will go smoothly with girls like these to work with! Karen manned the Guest Gallery we did at their reception- look for those images soon!

The look on the face of the girl in the bright pink dress cracks me up. She’s like, “Aw crap… its coming my way….all right, I’ll catch it if I have to.”

Shooting a wedding at the beautiful Terranea with Heather today. I’ve been dying to shoot there and am really excited about being near the ocean today since this heat has just been unbearable lately! But I thought I’d share some more wedding inspiration before I head out! How else would a wedding photographer showcase items she has purchased for her wedding to her fellow wedding obsessed friends? Starting to narrow in on a vision. You like?

Just finished up Dana and Keith’s lovely Healdsburg wedding at Trentadue Winery. Heather and I drove up from my parents place in the AM, arrived early, walked around the quaint downtown of Healdsburg, bought some wine, ate some yummy sandwiches and then casually started shooting. This is how the whole day felt! Dana and Keith were calm and collected with big smiles on their faces from start to finish. I think I mentioned this in my post about their engagement pictures but my earliest memory of Dana is somewhere in Aubrey’s house being taught, by Dana and Kate, a choreographed routine to Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up.” I think we were like, 6….
