One thing I forgot to mention yesterday was that Red Cheese Photo Booth was at the Orange Coast Magazine Party and all brides should definitely check them out. You can rent them for your event….Who doesn’t love a photobooth??? And what a perfect way for guests to take home a little wedding souvenir. Here’s Ana and I, I look retarded in these (on the left) but… ya know.. what are ya gonna do…

While I sit here and wait for lasagna to cook and for Gabie to get here to watch Project Runway and Lost (Double Whammy!) I thought I should blog about attending the Orange Coast Weddings magazine launch party last night. It was held at The Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach and everything was just beautiful, the food (AMAZING), the lighting (RED!), the drinks (ICE LUGE!), the three piece band… it’s really a venue I am just waiting to shoot for!

Hopefully Orange Coast Weddings will be a great source for brides- if I were to just judge by the party I’d say book your wedding there immediately!

I was also able to meet a gal whose blog I have been reading for a really long time- Jasmine Star. I met Courtney Toney of Joyful Weddings and Events awhile back and she just raved about Jasmine … and sure as sugar all her ravings were true- she’s a fabulous photographer and such a sweetheart! A pleasure…

Lasagna Time!

A little portrait I did today.

Although we haven’t seen weather like the east coast is getting at the moment, it’s been pretty icky here lately too! Born and raised in California I am always wanting a sunny summer- however it does refresh this city in such a beautiful way. We get a least a day of no smog…

So my weekend project was trying to create some of my own textures … Although I love Jesh de Rox’s Fine Art Textures I am not about to shell out $200+ plus for them… I didn’t go to art school for nothin’! .. So, I shot some stuff this morning and have been playing with these today with some old shots…I am not a fan of over using these and it has to be the right image- ends up looking cheesy but a but of texture can add a neat aging effect that I covet. These aren’t perfect- I will have to try some other things out as I find them, but I think they’re pretty good for my first try…. whatcha think?

When I was little my mom used go to work really early in the morning so she could be off early enough to pick us up from school so she would set up the breakfast table with Valentines for us and special Valentine confetti before she left so we always knew we had a Valentine no matter what! Hope you all have a day full of love and hopefully not too much candy.
