A ranch wedding in Malibu at Rancho del Cielo : Mindy and Dave
Been sitting on this wedding for awhile for publishing reasons but finally decided I just couldn’t wait any longer to share it! No rules against posting images on your own blog, right???? Actually, I have been sitting on these images so long that Mindy is now almost 8 months pregnant!!!! It’s pretty amazing being able to watching a family grow!
Mindy and Dave had a beautiful ranch style wedding in Malibu. They tied the knot at the lovely Malibu wedding venue, Rancho del Cielo back in June. Mindy and Dave are both in the art scene here in Los Angeles and put together such a creative wedding with unique table centerpeices crafted by Mindy herself…. I really think these images speak for themselves and I am not feeling particularly poetic tonight. Seriously, just awesome awesome clients and a beautiful outdoor wedding!
Oh yeah….. and a polka dot Oscar de la Renta wedding dress….!!!!!

Elle and Nima : Engaged! San Francisco Engagement Photographer
Elle and Nima are getting married in the early spring of 2010 at The Bentley Reserve in San Francisco and after this engagement session, I can’t WAIT! Since their wedding is going to have more of a city vibe they wanted to really play up the natural aesthetic that Golden Gate Park has to offer. Elle showed up with lots of props to play with which always makes me happy and gives engagement photographs that extra personality that myself and my clients love!

Oh yeah, and Elle is freaking gorgeous!

View All Comments[...] Elle and Nima had my first city wedding of the year and it was such a breath of fresh air. I love outdoor weddings for so many reasons but it was so fun making use of the city-scapes for a change! San Francisco is so magical this time of year and the weather was absolutely perfect for their day- Elle looked absolutely ravishing (and Nima dashing, per usual) and I can’t wait to share these sooo….onward to the images shall we? Aspire to inspire before you expire.
Working on a print order and came across this gem from Tim and Caitlins wedding. It’s just a snap-shot, a candid, a quick moment… but I think it says so much. Take a second to look at each persons face- you can almost taste their joy.

Oh heavenly day, all the clouds blew away
Got no trouble today with anyone
The smile on your face I live only to see
It’s enough for me, baby, it’s enough for me
Oh, heavenly day, heavenly day, heavenly day
Tomorrow may rain with sorrow
Here’s a little time we can borrow
Forget all our troubles in these moments so few
All we’ve got right now, the only thing that
All we really have to do
Is have ourselves a heavenly day
Lay here and watch the trees sway
Oh, can’t see no other way, no way, no way
Heavenly day, heavenly day, heavenly day
No one at my shoulder bringing me fears
Got no clouds up above me bringing me tears
Got nothing to tell you, I’ve got nothing much to say
Only I’m glad to be here with you
On this heavenly, heavenly, heavenly, heavenly
Heavenly day, all the trouble’s gone away
Oh, for a while anyway, for a while anyway
Heavenly day, heavenly day, heavenly day
Heavenly Day- Patty Griffin
