Kate Schatz and Jason Pontius- E Session
I’ve known Kate since I was a little baby- I grew up in the house next to her and spent many an afternoon following her around! She is the big sister of my best friend in the whole world- Aubrey. She used to choreograph dances for us to perform, paint our faces, and dress us up in ridiculous outfits with her friends. I distinctly remember watching MTV in their living room, Kate in her bike shorts, Aubrey and I with our hair in pigtails. When she got engaged I immediately offered my photography services and then a month later found out her wedding date is the same as my cousins. I was totally bummed out (excited for my cousin) but bummed out nonetheless. So at LEAST I could shoot their engagement portraits, right?
So on Saturday the four of us drove to Santa Cruz and had an amazing day of sun and shooting. They were perfect subjects, up for anything! While the bay area is where I grew up I haven’t done too many location shoots there so when I found out they were thinking Santa Cruz I immediately emailed Rebecca Meredith at Becca Studios for some location tips! Thanks so much Rebecca for all your help and guidance!!!

Congratulations you two!!! I know you’ll have a beautiful wedding and a beautiful life together! Thank you so much for letting me share a little bit of it. XoXo
P.S Thanks Aubs (and Buzz)
