Last Friday I had the utmost pleasure of shooting May and Shawn’s beautiful wedding at the Inn of the Seventh Ray with Heather Kincaid. I can’t stress how much I love this girl- in between shots we shared Twilight giggles and Edward squeals- I swear, I don’t laugh around anyone the way I laugh around Heather. Anyhow, the Inn of the Seventh Ray is a gorgeous little restaurant in the heart of Topanga Canyon- the event was planned by the lovely Angelica Weihs of Angelicas Green Weddings. Let me tell you I was really wishing I had a navigation system while I was driving over from the 101- if you miss a street, god help you on the turn around! A new car is in the goals for next year- one with air conditioning too please!

While Heather covered some more girl’s getting ready stuff, I headed over to the other side of the restaurant to hang with the guys. Shawn, the groom, was bummed that he wasn’t able to see The Dark Knight on its opening day that morning. He attempted to awake for the 7AM showing but overslept. We all gave him crap for that. The gentleman giving the thumbs up, is in reality, like, 7 feet tall. (Am I exaggerating?) So we though it would be funny if we got a shot that made it look like he was super short….

Ceremony details..

Heather and I were searching for good portrait locations because the restaurant reopened it’s main dining area after the ceremony for the public. I spotted a little road just across the street and then Heather found an even better one just next to it. We made a break for it- definitely worth it.

… and of course we had to do a little climbing around in the dirt.
