Bay Area and Napa Wedding Photographer : The Lab Event
Finally getting around to blogging my images from the brain child of Erin Taylor, Allison Silber and Yasmin Zialcita : The Lab Event this past January- These girls sure know how to throw an amazing party! We had such a fun time visiting with brides and hanging out with vendors and I’m excited to share some images of the absolutely breathtaking tablescapes the vendors worked together to create based on an inspiration board contest run by a bunch of great wedding blogs. Click on the feature links to learn more about what vendors were involved with each table!
Onward!
Wedding Bee featured this gorgeous “Rustic Chic” tablescape…
Snippet and Ink ran a great post about this toasted marshmallow inspired wedding.
A Savvy Event produced this coral and berries inspired table..
They ended the night with a fashion show of some amazing dresses from Sarah Seven’s new collection.

The Drybar : No cuts, no colors, just blow outs : $35
A couple of months ago I did some commercial photos for Alli Webb‘s new Brentwood hair venture, The Dry Bar. You know that awesome blow-out your hair stylist gives you when you go get a cut and color that lasts for two days (or three… or four…) ?? Well, that’s just what The Dry Bar offers…. you can pop by and get your hair did for that big interview, mtg, date, or weekend for just $35! They have a menu full of super fun style options named after yummy cocktails like, The Mai Tai (messy, beachy),The Manhatten (sleek and smooth) or The Cosmopolitan (loose curls). They are opening soon but are already booking month passes and offering tons of great deals so check it out and tell Alli I sent you! I might just be sitting in the chair next to you

I will admit that I spoiled myself a bit, before having little ones. Okay… Maybe a lot. When I was having a bad hair day (2+ times a week), I would go to the salon just to get my hair styled. This glmaour cost me about 60 bucks a pop, so I for one, LOVE THIS IDEA! I mean I REALLY, REALLY LOVE THIS IDEA! I think your get the point. I cannot wait until the photo section is up on the website, so I can see your amazing work close up Meg!

Outstanding in the Field : Wattles Farm
Earlier this month my best friend since I was one, Aubrey, and her Outstanding in the Field crew came through Los Angeles to host their last dinner of their 2009 tour at Wattles Farm. I’ve talked about Outstanding in the Field before but if you’ve never heard about what they do check their site out or buy a ticket to one of their dinners. It’s really a neat take on outdoor dining. The chef at the dinner I attended was Neal Fraser of Grace Restaurant in Los Angeles. Last year I did a bit more official documenting, this year I did more sipping wine and chatting but I did manage to snag a few good ones.
