Updates..

I am so excited that this week up north has been so full of love- from clients, friendly photographers now friends, friends, and family. It makes me feel wonderful to know that all my hard work trying to build my business in both southern and northern California is paying off. I so enjoy being up here and eventually will probably end up basing my business out of the Bay Area but for now it’s just awesome to be able to go back and forth! Heading back to Los Angeles with a busy couple of weeks in store- excited to be back in the office with Timmy across the desk from me. We just booked tickets for the end of April to London and Dublin- can’t wait to spend some time away from work together. :)

Couple images from my shoots this past weekend- little Jackson on the left and Tricia and Chris on the right.

Helen and Tyler : An Engagement : Carmel, CA

Over Christmas I had the lovely chance to spend the afternoon in Carmel with Helen and Tyler. I will be shooting their wedding at The Holly Farm in June and although Tyler and I have technically known each other since we were wee ones it was so great to reconnect and spend some time warming them up to the camera! My mom and Tyler’s mom are friends from their Presentation High School days and when I heard that Tyler was engaged I made sure my mom told Tyler’s mom, Maggie where she could find me! :) It’s going to be such a beautiful day and I can’t wait to be a part of it!

Mindy and Emily : Married!

Mindy contacted me after her and Emily had already been married for some Day-After shots. They didn’t have a professional photographer at their wedding ceremony and wanted to get some shots done in their wedding outfits! I was so honored to be able to document their love and we had such a great time running all over Griffith Park!

Meg – Even though we both were a little camera shy… you managed to give us some shots that truly represent us. These are moments we will treasure forever. Thank you. -mm

Dana and Keith : Engaged!

Blogging from New York! It was a gorgeous day here …. Tim and I woke up way too late and didn’t get anything done but who cares! Tomorrow we’re going to attempt to go out to the Statue of Liberty since Timmy’s never been- hope the weather holds up. Looking like we’re in store for some sleet- … whatever that is. ;) Anyhow, it’s nice to be out of Los Angeles for awhile – a change of scenery is always good.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend I had the chance to head up to wine country and spend the afternoon with Dana and Keith. Dana is a friend of the lovely Kate from Kate and Jason and used to choreograph dances for my best friend Aubrey and I to perform for our parents to songs like “Straight Up” by Paula Abdul. When she contacted me about her September ’09 wedding I was so super excited to be reconnected and couldn’t wait to meet up! I took my mom along for the drive and she followed behind with Dana’s mom as we shot all around her families property. Thanks so much for spending the afternoon with me and I’m super excited to be a part of your day next year!!!

Erin and Jake : Engaged!

Erin and I went to high school together- We were friends during my angst-y hate life, hate school, hate parents phase. Some of my most soul searching, defining moments happened with Erin around. I can’t imagine I was much fun to be around- but then, we all go through that phase, no? During senior year I got heavily involved in a million things: jazz choir, theater, photography, community involvement, the wilderness club, I mean the list goes on and on. Anyway, as what happens with many friendships in high school, ours drifted apart as peacefully as a changing of the guard ceremony. I will always associate her with those moments in life where I made decisions about the kind of person I wanted to be. Through the glory that is facebook.com, I was so so pleased when I not only heard that Erin had made it through HER angst-y phase with flying colors but that she was engaged to a wonderful man, Jake!!! Immediately we started chatting about wedding plans and as it turns out, I will be shooting her and Jakes wedding in June! I can’t wait to be a part of your day you guys, thanks for being so great!!!
